Samenvatting:The present research, entitled ‘Purchasing and Supply System, and its impact on the Operational Management of the company Guritbalsaflex Cia. Ltda.", addresses the purchasing process of an organization as a strategic function that can provide competitive advantages and better results in the market. Guritbalsaflex Cia. Ltda., a foreign company dedicated to the development and production of Balsa Panels exported to different countries around the world. The methodology used in the research focused on collecting and analysing data, both quantitative and qualitative, to meet the objectives set. The methods employed included the analysis of internal company data, theoretical and conceptual foundations related to the topic, as well as statistical analysis. The research techniques used were direct observation, interviews and documentary analysis. The interview technique was applied to the head of the purchasing department and a questionnaire was applied that addressed key aspects of the purchasing process. This made it possible to collect data on the company's purchasing and supply system, which made it possible to obtain reliable results. It is suggested to implement advanced inventory management strategies and strengthen collaboration with suppliers to improve efficiency in the procurement process. In addition, it is recommended to provide continuous training to staff to improve negotiation and inventory management skills.
