Summary:EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The present project was realized in the company Piscosa of Quevedo, which needs that a strategic plan is implanted him to improve his production and commercialization, since nowadays it realizes his activities of an empirical way. On having made ourselves the investigation we realize by means of an analysis of the current situation, that the company Piscosa handles a constant system of production allowing this way any adaptability positive changes. The goals and aims of this project are directed to reach the leadership in the local sale of tilapia red without leaving aside that Piscosa wants to be a principal leader in this national activity and because not international. One proceeded to a strategic evaluation of this activity. For it there was used the analysis of Five Forces of Porter and the Counterfoil of Competitive Profile; besides the analysis FODA and other counterfoils inherent in the identification of strategies. All this evaluation allowed to select five priority strategies for the development of the culture of tilapia red of Piscosa as well as his commercialization. We fix three long-term aims like that they must be expired on having finished the period of this strategic plan, each one with the corresponding strategy and his actions to continue. One concludes that the company Piscosa has failings in the operative and financial area, which one has proposed put which not they all were fulfilled, and that there needs workforce qualified for this activity. One recommends to request financings presenting the project of viability as support, to establish stable channels of commercialization, and to apply the resultant strategies of this investigation.
