Zusammenfassung:Rice is one of food crops and commercial importance. In the Canton Babahoyo, large areas are cultivated in summer and winter (dry land), the presence of this grass in Rivers back for the years 1774 when the Spanish colonists introduced it in our country, and began to be cultivated in what today is currently Babahoyo, Baba and Yaguachi; during the time of large exports of cocoa, rice was the item that little host had by farmers of that time, as time went on rice cultivation was gaining commercial role in the welfare of families of Canton it grew. The need to know to what extent the welfare of farmers affected because of the diseases the implementation of research describing through surveys the results of it and in turn allows us to explain to what extent it was necessary they are affected in their income. The stained grain, is one of the most protagonists diseases of large losses, directly or indirectly involved in the performance of crop management. In recent years, rice production in the canton have decreased by the presence of many diseases, especially stained grain, which represents economic importance in production and is the one that mostly affects farmers' incomes and food security. The importance of describing the effect caused by physiological disorders in rice cultivation and its performance, led to perform this research study, important microeconomic and macroeconomic in the market in quantities and price variables for sale. The way the effects stimulates the production chain are positive make economic agents, such agents as producers, sellers of goods and services, industry, transport, marketing represent within our Ecuadorian territory about 1,000 accelerate its million as a contribution to important category Gross National Income. But this exchange process are affected by low yields and therefore in income, discouraging the value chain. This effect is reflected in the economic and social development of rice farmers and the welfare of his family. The results allowed us to relate in a quantitative manner and describe findings as to choose the most important needs, against all those that are seen as central to their welfare. On the one hand clothing and recreation they felt that could do without while education, food, housing and health indicated that are important for the support of their families.
