الملخص: | The investigation present was on the San Mateo, Esmeraldas province, on the Ecuatorian coast to 24 msnm. As genetic material 200 adult quail females were evaluated. in order to evaluate the use of effective microorganisms (EM) , water used as a probiotic in rearing of quail and establish the cost-benefit ratio between treatments . For this purpose we evaluated three levels and each treatment contituyó 1.- ME 0.5ml of L - 1 water , 2. -1 ml of ME L - 1 water , 3.- 1.5 ml of ME L -1 water & 4.- 0.0 ml of ME L-1 of water . Treatments were distributed in a xviii Completely Randomized Design (ACD) in five replicates. The variables studied were: food consumption (g) , weight gain (g), feed conversion (%) Percentage of stance (%) Average egg weight (g), number of eggs (Nº), the carcass weight (g) and carcass Return (%). Economic analysis was also performed treatments. As measured in quail production descriptors treatment T2 ( 1 ml ME -1 L water ) had a higher weight gain (42.74g ) and feed intake (42.64g ) , while T3 treatment (1.5 ml ME L -1 ) showed the best feed conversion (1.72 %). Regarding egg production descriptors , T3 ( 1.5 ml of ME L -1) treatment had the highest average weekly number of eggs ( 34.75 , 69.51 , and 83.41 eggs per week during the months of May, June and July by experimental unit) , length (3.35cm ) wide (2.61 cm) and average egg weight (14.50 g) together with treatments T1 (0.5ml of ME L - 1 water ) and T2 (ME 1ml L - 1 water ) . Similarly T3 (1.5 ml of ME L-1 of water) also had the highest carcass weight (94.13 g ) and carcass yield (56.15%) . While the three treatment showed the highest averages in production descriptors quail egg , also proved the most profitable with a benefit / cost ratio of $ 0.83 , which supports the conclusion that using 1.5 ml of ME L -1 water, significantly increased growth performance and profitability coturnicultura farms in the Esmeraldas zone. |
