Ամփոփում:In this project, the impact of the modernization of irrigation water was analyzed on the seven directories of the San Juan-Patoa River, located in Pujilí, which has a population of 549 irrigators, the proportional stratified random sampling was used, leaving 60 collaborators ; The type of research used was qualitative-quantitative, exploratory and analytical, with a non-experimental design, being a pioneering project in research related to studying the production systems and living conditions of producers in the mentioned area. The general objective of this project was to evaluate the impact of the modernization of irrigation water on seven directories of the San Juan Patoa River, based on social, economic and environmental indicators of the Pujilí 2020 canton. To carry out the work, indicators were developed in the social, economic and environmental dimensions, applying the methodology of Santiago Sarandón, the most relevant results of the characterization indicated the type of housing is mixed in 58.3%, 6.7% do not receive a monthly income Most of the irrigators are dedicated to agriculture and other activities; In addition, 100% of the producers have property titles, 12% use hired labor, likewise 60% think that their production is excellent, 35% sell their products locally and through intermediaries, 35% have irrigation technified, 25% carry out organic agriculture, finally 26.7% carry out soil conservation works; Regarding the sustainability analysis, the following results were obtained, in the economic (2.28), environmental (2.61), social (2.62) dimensions, obtaining a GI (General Index) = (IK + IE + ISC / 3) of 2.51, which indicates that there is sustainability. Irrigators are aware that training in the three ecological, economic and social dimensions with the change to agro ecological agriculture and new marketing channels is a process of change, for the growth of their standard of living.
