Determinación de la concentración letal media cl50 producida por sulfato de cobre cuso4.5h20 en alevines de tilapia roja oreochromis sp

Determination of the Median Lethal Concentration (LC50), produced by copper sulphate penta hydrate (CuSO4.5H2O) by juvenile red tilapia (Oreochromis sp), was performed at the Laboratory of "Ecology and Bioassay", the Holy experimental farm Agnes, belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Technical University of Machala. The (CuSO4.5H2O) was chosen to be a widely used in fish farms for the removal of algae and other aquatic pathologies substance. In the present study the toxicity of copper sulfate CuSO4 5H2O in Red tilapia fry (Oreochromis sp) fish species of commercial interest are assessed. This replicates were performed with different concentrations of the solution into two phases called: Scoring Test and Final Test, which took into account the dead fish in controlled times. The results were analyzed using Probit statistical analysis, which allowed us to make comparisons that determined the sensitivity of fish to copper sulphate penta hydrate. This paper obtained the (LC50) of copper sulphate penta hydrate (CuSO4 5H2O by juvenile red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) Weighing average of 1 gram, determining the value of 1.54 mg / l. using the statistical model Probit.
