Samenvatting:The aim of this investigation was to determine the risk factors of acquiring diabetes mellitus type 2 nurses from the hospital General Theophilus Dávila by applying the test Findrisk, he proceeded to administer the questionnaire to the nursing staff consisting of 269 people working in the 15 services that make up the hospital, in order to measure the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, obtaining 63% of nurses, they encounter a BMI between 25 and 30 kg / m2, indicating that there is a risk, people with this weight are considered to "overweight" or "overweight", 20% are between 30 and 35 which is considered "mild obesity" and 17% is between 25 kg / m2, from 20-25 is considered the ideal body mass index.
