The grade of the clusters, they were homogeneous and the crop like the final quality of the fruit doesn’t end up varying significantly with regard to the witness.En la Granja Santa Inés, propiedad de Universidad Técnica de Machala del cantón Machala de la provincia de El Oro, se investigó sobre el Manejo de la calidad en el racimo de banano orgánico con dos sistemas de cirugía y tres de protección, con los siguientes objetivos: 1. Determinar cuál de los sistemas de protección se obtiene mejor calidad de clúster de banano; 2. Realizar un análisis de rendimiento de caja por hectárea en orgánico. Se comparó los nuevos sistemas de protección del racimo como el empleo de ligas Banalastic y Daipas de espuma, y la cirugía de los dedos laterales de la segunda mano, frente a las Daipas de polietileno, con y sin cirugía, que son los sistemas de mayor empleo en la actualidad. El diseño estadístico empleado para la interpretación de los resultados recopilados en el campo fue el de Bloques al Azar con seis tratamientos y 10 racimos por tratamiento. Del análisis de los resultados se desprende que la implementación de técnicas de protección del racimo para mejorar la calidad de la fruta los efectos de los tratamientos en las variables: de peso de manos, ratio y rendimiento no llegó a ser superiores que el testigo orgánico, esto es Daipas de polietileno sin cirugía de dedos laterales. El indicador más consistente que demostró la ventaja de la protección de las manos del racimo con ligas Banalastic y Daipas de espuma, fue el número de clúster, en la cual se reporto un incremento del 23 %. La merma y rendimiento fue superior en el testigo con Daipas de polietileno, sin cirugía.
