Sumari:In the Farm Santa Inés of the University of Machala, one investigates sore the control of plagues of the fréjol using botanical insecticides. The objectives of the investigation were: “To prove botanical insecticides with the help of Neem, pepper, onion for the control of plagues of the frejol (Phaselus vulgaris L). “To settle down with which of the botanical insecticides a better control of plagues is obtained. “He/she will give to know the quality, profitability and benefits of the production of with the use of botanical insecticides. The botanical insecticides that were investigated were elaborated handmadely with the help of seeds of Neem, bulbs of Onion and fruits of Pepper, macerated alcohol-water. To those macerated they are added coconut oil. The treatments applied with a frequency of twice per week they were: “Extract of Neem + oil of coconut 30 ml/l; “Extract of pepper + oil of coconut 50 ml/l; “Onion extract coconut +aceite 50ml/l; “Insecticide Lorsban 48 C.E 2.5 ml/l; “Witness. With regard to the plagues, using, descriptions of the damages, pictures of insects were recognized alredor of 10 species associated to the cultivation: Liriomiza (minador), Ladybugs (Crisomelidae, Diabrotica, Cerotoma), acari (Tetranichus), green parrot (Empoasca), Moth of the sheaths (Laspeiresia), as the most important. The results of the weekly monitoreo of leaves evidenced that the botanical insecticides of Neem, Pepper and Onion, if they were able to brake the tendency of the population's of these species increment. In general the incidence of plagues didn't reach superior levels to the threshold of it damaged Economic dear for these plagues in 20%. The production of sheaths in green, varies among the 4600 to the 5500 kg /ha, the difference in production between the control treatments and the absolute witness was not significant.
