Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This research was conducted in the city of Machala Oro province, during the months of December 2013 to February 2014 The objectives of this research were: Determining Prevalence Index EHRLICHIA canis in dogs in the city of Machala. Determine the relationship with the variables according to sex, age and breed of dogs that have the disease. The number of samples were 200 animals the same as the main presenting symptom ticks. The number of samples was divided to three Parroquias de la ciudad de Machala: Area 1 representing the northern part; El Cambio and La Providencia and Area 2 represents the southern part; Puerto Bolívar. The methodology used was the extraction of 3 cc of blood with EDTA anticoagulant drop, radial or saphenous vein and the respective data for each patient sampled as age, sex, breed, owner's name was taken, to be later transferred to Clinical Analysis Laboratory of the Universidad Técnica de Machala, Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias.In this investigation it was determined that the presence of EHRLICHIA canis in dogs in the city of Machala was 9 positive animals sampled 200 which represents 4.5% |
