| Sumari: | An essay was carried out at the Faculty of Agropecuary Sciences, belonging to the Technical University of Machala, with the following objectives: to analyze the main reasons which influenced the formulation and execution of graduate thesis, as referred to technical, regulatory and politics aspects; to organize the generated information through the graduate thesis by mean of the elaboration of a catalogue. The evaluated variables were: working area, period of execution, relationship of the working area of the director and members of the tribunal with the theme of the thesis, number of graduates per thesis, problem, objectives, justification, theoretical frame, hypothesis, methodology, bibliography, selection of the theme, control and monitoring of the thesis, evaluation of the results and financial aspects of the thesis. The essay consisted of the reviewing of each one of the graduated thesis on legumes which were carried out at the Faculty. the data were taken from two sources: a) directly from the graduate thesis, and b) by interviews with professors of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences and Professionals graduated at the Faculty. The great majority of thesis corresponded to the area of selection, with a total number of 39; meanwhile on the areas of irrigation, diseases and nematodes there was only one thesis; 56% of the thesis were carried out on the decade 1986-1995, and on the decade 1996-2005 only 8% were receipted. |
