Evaluación de tres variedades de pimiento capsicum annum l. bajo tres densidades de siembra en la parroquia Río Bonito

The present research was carried out three varieties of pepper (Camsicum annum L.) under three densities of seeding, at Pagua zone, belonging to Río Bonito parish, El Guabo Canton, El Oro provinceThe objectives were: 1. - To determine the more appropriate pepper cultivar for the zone on essay; 2. - To evaluate tree distances among cultivars for determining the best yielding. The experimental employee design of Blocks completely at Random with a factorial arrangement and four reapplications. The distances among plantings were 0, 30 – 0, 40 and 0, 50 meters and the varieties assayed were Irazú largo, Yolo wonder and Marconi.The following variables were analyzed: height of plants at 30, 60 days and at harvest; days at flowering; number of fruits per plant; diameter of fruit; average weight of fruit and yielding per hectare.The Marconi variety obtained the best averages in height, length of fruit and number of fruit per plant; as referred to weight and diameter of fruit, the high average was for Yolo wonder variety, meanwhile for the variable distance, the best yielding for hectare was for 0, 30 m x 1 m, followed by 0, 40 m x 1m.
