Description
Summary:La black Sigatoka, is the causative agent of severe attacks that cause loss of leaf area in all the banana zones of the country, with the largest proportion in the area of El Oro and Los Rios therefore its control causes great economic losses. This fungus possesses a genetic diversity because of its sexual reproduction and short life-cycle, causing in this way new generations per year therefore possessing these characteristics makes that control management is difficult every year, due to misuse and a bad rotation of systemic fungicide in your application without respecting the rules laid down by FRAC. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the behaviour of two fungicides of biological origin for the control of black Sigatoka in test of simple sheet in two banana zones, El Oro and Los Rios. Initially proceeded to count sheets above down taking into account point each to evaluate, banana plant candela subsequently was evaluation of the prior of the fungus in each one of the leaves left and right for each treatment. Once these steps are used the machine created by BASF (Simulaytor) that performs the spraying of fungicide to the plants with their respective treatments. Percentage of black Sigatoka control assessments proceeded to perform seven days after application until 35 days after application, once obtained the data in field was understood that the use Serenade showed better control of black Sigatoka and showed smaller sizes of pinch of disease in both areas so it is evidenced that the use of this biological fungicideIt gives good results for a banana plantation with less chemical load.
