For diagnosis proceeded to the extraction of blood from the coccygeal vein of each animal with a 5cc syringe to put it in a test tube were placed in an inclined manner to accelerate obtaining serum. Subsequently and by employing a capillary tube of the serum sample was taken and with another placing of the reagent in the aglutinoscopio while mixing with the aid of a toothpick, perform a circular motion; then waited 4 minutes, recommended as the optimum time for the reading of the sample. Were subjected 12% of the samples at random, to verification tests in the laboratory of Microbiology and Histopathology, Facultad de Agronomia de UTMACH. The results show a negative index of prevalence (0%) for B. abortus in the studied of farms Canton Pasaje. |

The results show a negative index of prevalence (0%) for B. abortus in the studied of farms Canton Pasaje.Con el objetivo de determinar el índice de prevalencia de Brucelosis bovina en fincas ganaderas de pequeños productores del cantón Pasaje de la provincia de El Oro, se procedió al diagnóstico serológico, Card-Test, de 500 bovinos en las parroquias Progreso, Tres Cerritos, Uzcurrumi y Buena Vista. Para el diagnóstico se procedió a la extracción de sangre de la vena coccígea de cada animal con una jeringuilla de 5cc para seguidamente depositarla en un tubo de ensayo que fue colocado de forma inclinada para acelerar la obtención del suero. Con posterioridad y mediante el empleo de un tubo capilar, se tomó la muestra de suero y con otra la del reactivo para colocarlos en el aglutinoscopio, al tiempo que se mezclaban con la ayuda de un mondadientes, realizamos movimientos circulares; se esperó los 4 minutos, recomendado como tiempo óptimo para realizar la lectura de la muestra. El 12% de las muestras en forma aleatoria, fueron sometidas a test de comprobación en el laboratorio de Microbiología e Histopatología de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la UTMach.
