Prevalencia de cisticercosis porcina por inspección en el camal municipal del cantón Huaquillas provincia de El Oro

This thesis entitled "Prevalencia de cysticercosis porcina por inspección en el camal municipal del cantón Huaquillas provincia de El Oro" was held in the province of El Oro, in the canton Huaquillas, from 19 September 2013 until February 8, 2014; Objetives: 1. determine the prevalence of porcine cysticercosis in the cantón Huaquillas provincia de El Oro 2 Establish prevalence by race, gender, age and origin. For this 500 pigs slaughtered in the slaughterhouse inspected, establishing the prevalence according to race, sex, age and origin. The results concluded that the prevalence of disease is 0.2%; race in which the disease was presented was the blended mestizo race; In what has to do with the variable corresponding to the sex of the animals, the prevalence of the disease fell to the females, it was the only case where cysticercosis was found. According to the variable related to the age of the animals, the disease is found in an animal over a year old. The animal infected with the disease came from the parroquia Milton Reyes, Canton Huaquillas.
