Sažetak: | At “Santa Ines” Experimental Farm Facilities of Universidad Técnica de Machala, from El Oro province in Ecuador, at 5 MASL (meters above sea level), a research took place, which pursued the following objectives: 1. To determine the mycostatic activity of broiler chickens as research subject of consumption of Capsicum frutescens. 2. To determine mortality, food consumption, weight gain and feed conversion of the animals receiving treatment vs. the control group. 3. To establish the percentage of effectiveness of Capsicum frutescens related to the mycotic presence for each treatment. 360 broilers have been raised in floor from birth to 42 days old; chicks were distributed in 15 homogenous groups of 24 chickens each. Five treatments were done according to the dosage of Capsicum frutescens in drinking water (20gr/4lit. 40gr/4lit. 60gr/4lit. 80 gr./4lit) with 3 repetitions each, it also includes the control group. The experimental design was random and a mean separation’s Duncan test was done with a signification level of 0,05. Chickens ate commercial feed, the parameters under research for each treatment were: weight gain, food consumption, feed conversion, mortality, production costs, growth or total absence of flora, colimetric, through bacteria cultivation. The broilers were weighted at the beginning of this research and then within a weekly period until this research was completed, were the following were the results: Among the three groups of repetitions for each treatment the highest value for weight gain had the T1: 2.870,61 gr and the lowest value had the control group, TGO: 2.681,44 gr. Food consumption showed the highest value within T2: 113.954 gr where the average consumption of food per chicken is 4.748,08 gr; the lowest consumption had T3: 104,344 gr and its average of food consumption per chicken was 4.347,67 gr.The highest consumption of Capsicum frutescens was reached by T4: 10.080 gr. The group with no consumption of Capsicum frutescens was the control group TGO:0.The best result for feed conversion was presented by T3: 1,69%Best benefits treatment had T3: 2,13 USD per broiler and the lowest benefit was showed by the control group TGO: 1,47 USD per broiler. Highest rate of mortality was given by T3: 9,72% and the lowest mortality rate showed the TGO 2,77%. |
