“Estudio, diseño geométrico y pavimento flexible para la vía nueva guinea - aguas termales - el arenal, ubicada en los cantones Balsas y Marcabelí, provincia de el oro”

The people of New Guinea sectors, Hot Springs and El Arenal feel discomfort due to the poor state of the road especially during winter becomes impassable. The main objective of this project is to conduct the study, Geometric Design and Flexible Pavement for the track "New Guinea - Hot Springs - El Arenal", since improving the conditions of land communication to the above populations, facilitate the mobilization of all type of agricultural production that exists in the sector, and consider the route will boost tourism in the area because it has beautiful scenery and spa Hot Springs. The methodology used in this study is based on research through literature sources, consultations on the web and field research under the exploratory and practical level in direct contact with the aforementioned sites. This project was designed according to the needs of the sector, optimizing resources to make the project environmentally and economically feasible during construction and during its useful life, the length of the track is 5408m, being a road of IV order according to the classification of MTOP, the same type has 9 culverts reinforced concrete box and side ditches on both sides of the road. It is recommended to meet the standards and specifications MTOP, as well as applying the environmental management plan during and after construction of the road.
