Control natural de sibine sp. lep limacodidae en el agroecosistema e banano orgánico de la hacienda Celia María

In the Celia María banana company A. S. from February of 2005, it has coming carrying out field observations to study the defoliators plagues of the banana tree that are classified as seasonal, among those that are included the false mount Sibine sp. of the family Limacodidae, from the point of view of collecting and to evaluate the agents of natural control that contribute to the population's natural regulation. The same one that has scientific and practical importance. The outlined objectives were: -1. To determine at field level the incidence of "false mount" in the lots "focuses" of defoliator plagues; 2. to recover the parasitoids and predators of the larval state of Sibine sp. collected in the study area and 3. to Classify at family level the emerged adults of larva of false mount. In the field were collected hundreds of larva of different development stadium starting from February of the 2006 until June of the 2007, which were brought to the laboratory of Entomology of CIAP. These were conditioned in plastic recipients with disks of banana leaf, for their feeding and evaluation of the food consumption. Of this material around 98 % didn't reach the mature state, in such a way it couldn’t obtain new descendant and to have estimators of the females fecundity. On the other hand it was possible to evaluate some processes of parasitoids emergency, reoriented the investigation to the identification of the natural enemies. The parasitoides recovery was carried out starting from collected larva of the 2006 generation that beginning in August expanding the activity until June of 2007. In the field it was evaluated lots from 5 to 16 hectares, establishing the total of plants, damages of the false mount. On the base of this information it was evaluated, the larval population per plant, the range, the incidence on the base of a density of 1 400 units production/ha and the parasitism level caused by Apantheles, Wientemia sp Casinaria sp. The first evidences of the presence of the "false mount" were detected in August of the 2006 until October of the same year.
