Summary:Aluminum and other heavy metals, produces various toxic effects on fish. Among histopathological lesions that may occur include hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the gill secondary lamellae, resulting in increased diffusion distance of the aquatic environment in the blood, and consequently a reduction in oxygen transfer across the epithelium. This study evaluated the toxicity of Aluminum Sulfate (SO4) 3Al2 two species, two species of aquatic fry tilapia Oreochromis sp Red and post larval shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei, both of great commercial interest. For this, two tests and final test score in both species with similar concentrations in the first test were performed and the final determined the median lethal dose as 50% in the marked time. The results were processed using the Probit model, which allowed us to make comparisons between treatments and determine the degree of sensitivity of different species to Aluminum Sulfate. The median lethal concentration (CL50) applied solutions Aluminum Sulfate (SO4) 3Al2 Red Tilapia fingerlings of Oreochromis sp. checked by Probit analysis according to the statistical average of the administered doses caused mortality required 90,2 mg/L (SO4) 3Al2 applied. It was established that the median lethal concentration (CL50) in doses of Aluminum Sulfate (SO4)3Al2 applied in Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp postlarvae research Probit statistical analysis as the mean of the doses given, fluctuated in 70,3 mg/l Aluminum Sulfate (SO4)3Al2.
