| Gaia: | When performing system redesign drinking water supply for the citadels: Centennial, October 9, Central and San Ramon Canton Marcabelí province of El Oro, is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of these sectors, whereas current network that have these citadels has fulfilled life for which they were designed. The main problems presented part of these citadels are the lack of pressure since being a canton situated in a mountainous place, has variations as to the contours of the land which additional small diameters, causes pressures under which recommends the rule. The designs have been made based on the INEN Standards for Study and Design of Drinking Water and Wastewater Disposal For Older People 1000 population which have been complemented by considerations established by the Ecuadorian Code of Construction. To generate the information required for preparation of the redesign, they have made and collected data from the following studies: hydrological, topographical and geotechnical, which have allowed have defined appropriate and area information. During the preparation of studies, it was possible to stipulate flows guarantee for the projected useful life of 30 years redesign, and based on the condition of the existing network and the help of simulations using the EPANET program, it is determined that the current network suffers low pressures in certain parts where the elevation is high and they are out of the minimum range set by the standard, therefore it is necessary to make changes in pipe diameters greater in some sections in order to solve the low pressures that come to these sectors . detailed budgets for each of the projects also considering a financial assessment valued the benefits were developed. |
