Voeg label toe | Samenvatting: | The present investigation about DETERMINATION OF THE INDEX OF PREVALENCE OF SARCOPTES SCABIEI IN CANINE IN THE CITY DE MACHALA, was carried out in the city of Machala provincia de el Oro, during the months of February through 2014, it was based in the following objectives: To determine the index of prevalence of the Sarcoptes scabiei in canine according to the group age. To determine the index of prevalence of the Sarcoptes scabiei in canine according to the race. To elaborate an Epidemic map of the illness. The number of samples was of 378 canines the same ones that presented as main symptom problems in the skin. The quantity of samples was divided for six parroquias de la ciudad de Machala as follow: Jambeli, la Providencia, Machala, Jubones, Nueve de Mayo, and Puerto Bolívar. The methodology of the field work used was the technique of having rasped of skin that consists in taking a scalpel leaf and in the selected area a rasped is made, which is placed onto a slide with a drop of glycerine, then slide is placed and it is observed in the microscope. After the respective analyses and data tabulation of the 378 canine sampled 19 positive cases were obtained, giving a prevalence of 5, 03% of the Sarcoptes scabiei in canine. |
