Four formulations were prepared with different percentages of red pepper extract, determining that the fourth is the most stable formulation, since it met the quality standards. Because the results is recommended to continue research with a study in three phases. |

Because the results is recommended to continue research with a study in three phases.El objetivo de esta investigación fue formular una crema a partir de la extracción del ácido ascórbico del pimiento Capsicum Anumm con efecto hidratante – antioxidante. Utilizando el método de volumetría por yodometría, en la cual se determina mayor presencia y estabilidad de antioxidantes en el pimiento rojo Capsicum anumm, además se comprueba en un equipo de potenciostato por el método de potenciometría la presencia del ácido ascórbico en este pimiento como se determina en varios artículos científicos de gran interés. Posteriormente se procedió a formular con este principio activo una crema hidratante con efecto antioxidante que previamente cada una de las materias primas fueros sometidas a varios controles de calidad, como la fórmula farmacéutica terminada, dándonos resultados favorables como un pH (5.5 ±0.15), extensibilidad (4.0 ± 0.08), viscosidad (35200cP), ensayos microbiológicos con ausencia de microorganismos, entre otros parámetros que se sugieren en diferentes farmacopeas. Se elaboró cuatro formulaciones en distintos porcentajes de extracto de pimiento rojo, determinando que la cuarta formulación es la más estable, ya que cumplió con los parámetros de calidad.
