Add Tag | Summary: | The research work was conducted in the Camal Municipal De Canton Pasaje, in collaboration with the Mayor the Canton, and doctors in charge of the municipal slaughterhouse and the owners of the respective animals slaugutered, from July 2014 to September of 2014, objectives research set and determine the prevalence rate of cysticercosis in pigs slaughtered in the slaughterhouse of Canton Pasaje Province of El Oro. Specific objectives. To determine race, sex, age and place of origin of the positive cases and determine cysticercosis location and viability of cysticerci in the positive animals. The number of animals inspected was 875. For inspection, the technique used was the macroscopic observation of through cuts made in the masseter muscles, intercostal, tongue, liver, kidneys, heart and leg muscles and arm.
