Objective aims to develop a study and determine the appropriate maintenance during the stage of excavation, by applying methods of geomechanical assessment of rock mass, which allows to improve the security, viability and economics in the work of tunneling, Hydroelectric Project Minas fan Francisco - Canton Pucara - Province of Azuay. The literature evaluation research to determine the various technical methods, with the documentary information collected for comparison between theory and practice and field visits to observe the operational management during the construction stage of excavation. Geomecánicamente with the results of the Classification of Barton, Lien and Lunde Index (Q), ranking Bieniawski (RMR System) and Classification Hoek and Brown (GSI), a type of support for auxiliary tunnel was determined, calling the rock mass very good quality taking into account the structural mechanic along the route of the tunnel, project implementation improved the quality of life of the populations in the catchment area characteristics, improved services and created new job opportunities. |
