The realized studies determined that there is a high percentage of hematuria (25.6 %) present in the canton AtahualpaEsta investigación se la realizó en el cantón Atahualpa, desde el 30 de Agosto hasta el 22 de Noviembre del año 2011, con la finalidad de diagnosticar mediante examen de tiras reactivas la presencia de hematuria enzoótica bovina en dicho cantón. Se plantearon los siguientes objetivos: 1. Diagnosticar hematuria enzoótica bovina mediante examen de tiras reactivas en ganaderías del cantón Atahualpa. 2. Determinar el porcentaje de hematuria enzoótica bovina de acuerdo a la raza, edad y sexo. Para realizar esta tesis se investigó un total de 500 animales de diferentes ganaderías del cantón Atahualpa, en un lapso de 82 días.
