description | In the Santa Ines Farm which belongs to Technical University, an experience was carried out with seven substratums in order to germinate the seed of cocoa, National variety. It was directed to achieve the following objectives: 1. Appreciate the elaboration of substratum for the ideal growing of the cocoa seedling. 2. Determine the effects of the combination with substratum in the emergency and growing of the cocoa seedling. 3. Analyze the economy of the treatments. The national seed was implemented as well as the substratum, ground, sawdust, sand, rice hulls, and humus. They were mixed in different symmetry which gave seven treatments as a result T1 (superficial ground, sand, rice hulls, humus (1-1-1-0,5); T2 (superficial ground , sand, rice hulls, humus (2-1-1-0,5); T3 (superficial ground, sand, sawdust, humus (1-1-1-0,5); T4 (superficial ground, sand, rice hulls, sawdust, humus (2-1-1-0,5); T5 (superficial ground, sand , humus(1-1-0,5): T6 (superficial ground, sand, humus (2-1-0,5), t7 (superficial ground) or baton. The variables were the following: days at the springing up, days to the fell down of the cotyledon, height of the plants, diameter of the stem, number of the leaves, weight of the root, length of the root. All of them adapted themselves in a complete block design randomly. The best results were obtained with the treatments T5 T6 T7 in length weight, and growing which is optimal development. As a conclusion, the substratum based on ground, sand and humus guaranteed the configuration for good development of the plant and future tree which will product cocoa. |

Valorar la elaboración de sustratos para el óptimo crecimiento de plántulas de cacao; 2. Determinar los efectos de la combinación del sustrato en la emergencia y crecimiento de la plántula de cacao y 3. Análisis económicos de los tratamientos.Se empleó Semillas de cacao Nacional, los sustratos, tierra, aserrín, arena, cascarilla de arroz y humus, los cuales fueron mezclados en diferentes proporciones, dando como resultado siete tratamientos: T1(Tierra superficial-arena-cascarilla de arroz-humus (1-1-1-0,5); T2(suelo superficial-arena-cascarilla de arroz-humus (2-1-1-0.5); T3(suelo superficial-arena-aserrín-humus (1-1-1-0.5); T4 (suelo superficial-arena-aserrín-humus (2-1-1-0.5); T5(suelo superficial-arena-humus (1-1-0.5); T6 (suelo superficial-arena-humus (2-1- 0,5), T7(suelo superficial) o testigo. Siendo las variablesdías a la emergencia, días a la caída de los cotiledones; altura de la plantas; diámetro del tallo; número de hojas; peso de la raíz.; longitud de la raíz,que se ajustaron a un Diseño Bloques Completos al Azar. Se obtuvo los mejores resultados en los tratamientos T5, T6 y T7. En peso, longitud y crecimiento.
