الملخص:The main objective of this research was to take advantage of this protein in the chicken feather meal by enzymatic hydrolysis using the Bacillus subtilis for the production of keratin in the development of a hair straightening cream for cosmetic use. A factorial experimental design in which the concentration of Bacillus (2, 3 and 4 g / L) and substrate (15 and 18%) was varied was performed. This process is performed in the aerobic fermenter type Bach at room temperature ( 25 ° C), pH (7.5) was adjusted. In preparing the cream hydrolyzate concentration (47, 60 and 73 %) it was varied. By spectrophotometry UV-Visible nitrogen content it was determined, obtaining 3.28% obtain keratin hydrolyzate, which is concentrated to be deodorized up to 10%, and a room temperature for incubation. Showing that this hydrolyzate is an advisable for the preparation process of concentration based relaxer.
