Evaluación de híbridos comerciales de maiz zea mays l. en el sitio Rajaro cantón Pasaje

The present study of commercial hybrid Evaluation of six hibrids corn (Zea mays L.) was carried out at the Rájaro site belonging to the Pasaje canton . The objectives were: 1. to evaluate the agronomic characteristics and of yield of hybrid of commercial corn in the sector Rájaro 2.Determinar which hybrid is better adapt better to the study area. The following ones were used hybrid: H-551, H-601, Pacific 9205, Brasilia 8501, NB-7443, Winner 8330 and 2 varieties like testers CIAP-01 and INIAP 542; the treatments were distributed at random in a design of blocks with three repetitions.The variables were : Days to the germination, days to the tassel, antesis, and female flowering, plant height, ears for plant, longitude and ear diameter, lines for ear, relationship grain-tusa, weight of 100 seeds and yield.The comparison of averages was carried out by the test of Duncan 5%. The higgent yield was reached by the hybrid NB-7443 that obtained 5920,61 kg/ha followed by the Brasilia 8501 with 5299 kg/ha and H-551 with a production of 4843,62 kg/ha, while the Pacific 9205 obtained lowest yield with 4444,61 Kg/ha The hybrid Brasilia 8501 obtained high averages in the following traits to ears for plant, ear longitude and weight of 100 seeds with 1, 22, 20, 10 and 38,53g respectively.
