| description | The aim of this study was to "Evaluate 5 substrates for greenhouse acclimatization of Epidendrum elipticum graham produced from in vitro techniques" at the Technical University of Machala, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, City of Machala to 6 m. The present investigation was to obtain a suitable substrate for acclimatization of Epidendrum species, having three distinct stages such as substrate preparation, acclimatization and pre phase emissions. Phase of preparation of organic substrate consisted of disinfection for 48 hours in the oven at 80 ° C thus eliminating pathogens that could harm plants, later was crushed in the mill electrical pine bark, chanta banana coconut shell of smaller diameter being placed in these plastic containers. Pre gradual acclimatization is the simulation of conditions in laboratory externalize performed with a duration of 14 days, consists in selecting the best vitro seedlings, washing to remove the root agar, transplant. Plastic containers with seedlings vitro are placed in a plastic tray 0.50 x 0.30 x 0.25 m plastic coated grap. Finally after the time of pre acclimatization orchid plants survivors are taken to the greenhouse where they are tagged, putting plastic containers in a completely randomized design with 5 treatment and 4 replicates having 160 experimental units, applying minimum limit of Significance (DLS) to 5% to determine the statistical difference between treatments. The evaluation was performed according to each variable, plant height, leaf number, root number, stage of development average, average color, survival, mortality and economic analysis of the acclimatization phase. As the height, number of roots, development status, average color and mortality, which according to analysis of variance at 60 days were highly significant, statistically differing by 5% DLS Q4 (pine bark) for other treatments , concluding that it is better for acclimatization conditions and costs. |

La presente investigación consistió en obtener el sustrato adecuado para la fase de aclimatación de la especie Epidendrum, teniendo tres etapas bien definidas como lo son preparación de sustratos, pre aclimatación y fase de invernadero. La Fase de preparación de sustrato orgánico consistió en la desinfección por 48 horas en la estufa a temperatura de 80 ºC eliminando de esta manera patógenos que podrían lesionar a las plantas, posterior se trituro en el molino eléctrico la corteza de pino, chanta de banano, corteza de coco del menor diámetro siendo estos colocados en los contenedores plásticos. Pre aclimatación es la simulación gradual de las condiciones externar realizada en laboratorio con una duración de 14 días, consiste en la selección de las mejores vitro plántulas, lavado para eliminar el agar de las raíces, transplante. Los contenedores plásticos con la vitro plántula son colocadas en una bandeja plástica 0.50 x 0.30 x 0.25 m recubierta por plástico grap. Finalmente transcurrido el tiempo de pre aclimatación las plantas de orquídeas sobrevivientes son llevadas al invernadero donde son etiquetadas, ubicando los contenedores plásticos en un diseño completamente al azar con 5 tratamiento y 4 repeticiones habiendo 160 unidades experimentales, aplicando Límite Mínimo de Significancia (DLS) al 5% para determinar la diferencia estadística entre tratamientos. La evaluación se realizó según cada variable, altura de planta, número de hojas, número de raíces, estado de desarrollo promedio, coloración promedio, sobrevivencia, mortalidad y análisis económico de la fase de aclimatación.
