The Canton with the biggest number gives positive cases to some type he/she gives oftalmopatias it was Zaruma with 3,08%.La presente investigación se llevó a cabo durante los meses de Junio, Julio y Agosto del 2007, en el camal municipal del cantón Machala y tuvo como objetivos: determinar la presencia de alteraciones oculares en los bovinos faenados en el camal municipal del cantón Machala; y establecer la relación de los casos positivos de acuerdo a su origen, raza, sexo y edad. El número de animales muestreados fue de 260 bovinos, de los cuales 44 resultaron como positivos y 216 negativos, dando esto un porcentaje de casos positivos del 16,92%.
