| Sumari: | In the present titling work previous to the obtaining of the Title of Civil Engineer the behavior of the Building of the Academic Unit of Civil Engineering was analyzed that was constructed in the year 1982 with the Ecuadorian Code of the Construction of the year 1977. Had a seismic event of 7.8 degrees on the Richter scale on April 16, 2016 affecting the cities of Manabí and Esmeraldas which according to the map of seismic zoning of the NEC15 are in a zone of high seismic threat and thus the whole territory Coastal zone of Ecuador therefore Machala is also within this zone of seismic danger, that is why it is necessary to carry out studies of performance level of the structures of the whole Province of El Oro in general and of the older buildings in specific since Before the minimum requirements of the SCC were not fulfilled, 77 rather, the citizens allowed to construct empirical persons without any instruction to Known as master builders. Due to the aforementioned, this research was carried out to collect information on structural plans with which the UAIC Building was constructed, which served to realize the real mathematical model of the structure, these plans only contained the construction until the second floor With slab cover accessible, later it was constructed what at present is actually seen in a level more with steel deck with accessible slab visors and for that it was available architectural plans raised by students of the UAIC like Project of Linkage with the Society which were also considered for the analysis of the building but for that reason it was analyzed in two ways. The first one was analyzed as it was built in the past with the inelastic response spectrum of the CEC 77 and it was verified if it complied with the maximum demands of inelastic drifts but did not deepen with a capacity curve, since this was done; In the second part with the building as it is currently built taking into account the spectrum of inelastic response to have information on the level of performance that the building has and also checked that the drifts are within the maximum stresses admissible by the NEC15 And complying with the Design Philosophy resistant earthquake. A mathematical model with the masonry modeling was also carried out in order to obtain the approximate weight to the reality to later consider this weight in the only structural model of the building, the combinations of load and assigned masses are according to the NEC15. This information provided by this research will serve as principles of great importance for new students of the Academic Unit of Civil Engineering to illustrate what needs to be done and the data that must be available to be able to perform a Structural Assessment of a Building And obtain their level of Performance in order to be able to give solutions to the possible vulnerabilities presented by the structures and to reinforce them optimally while conserving economic resources. |
