| Streszczenie: | Today, vehicular congestion can be found in almost all of the populated cities on the planet, and there are several reasons why it is generated. Therefore, it has become indispensable to carry out traffic studies prior to any road construction work, since the road must be in function of the volume and type of traffic, variables that allow defining the gauge and the amounts of the lanes, necessary for An optimal vehicular circulation flow. Each road problem can be faced with multiple solutions, always taking into account the economic factor mainly, since that depends on the type of solution to be taken. The study of traffic must be very complete and cover as much information as possible to reduce errors, which in the future can be fatal. Due to this, the present study will focus mainly on the El Bananero area in the City of Machala, which is intercepted by its main avenue, June 25, and Av. Alejandro Castro Benítez. It was necessary to study this sector for its great traffic congestion at peak times of the day, besides being the main gateway to the various areas of the city. Therefore, this study aims to decongest the vehicular traffic that takes place in the roundabout of the Bananero monument by implementing a vehicular link that will improve traffic and reduce conflicts in this access point to the City of Machala, for which it was It is necessary to carry out a field study by executing a traffic count, since there is a lack of historical data recording of the area, taking as strategic points of study the four corners, from which the different types of vehicles circulating and the Three possible turns that these could realize. These data allowed to generate a TPDA analysis, projecting the current traffic to 20 years, generating a clear vision of the increase of the automotive fleet that will have in that period of time the study area. The results also showed an immediate need to counteract the problem of traffic congestion suffered by the sector, through the use of a traffic simulator, Synchro 8, various solutions were tested, including the construction of a link Vehicular projected on the main avenue June 25. It was determined that the use of a vehicular link in the main avenue will reduce the conflicts generated in the current roundabout, allowing to reduce the problem of traffic congestion in peak hours. It should be considered that the implementation of this type of solution entails a greater expense of resources than any other solution, but that in the future will maintain a stable control over vehicular congestion. The City of Machala maintains a constant growth every year, and is also reflected in the vehicular environment, which is why road works are very important as they allow better control of vehicular traffic and are evidence of economic development. |
