| Shrnutí: | At the community of Bajoalto, belonging to Tendales parish, El Guabo canton, El Oro province, it was researched the response of cucumber (Cucumis sativus, L) to the application of organic fertilizers. The objectives were: 1.-To determine the response of cucumber cultivars to organic fertilizers; 2.-To establish the yielding of the treatments applied to cucumber cultivars. The products were applied in plots with a complete block design with 3 reapplications, with a total of 30 experimental plots. During the development of the cultivars it was carried out cultural labor as: weed control, hillings and phyto-sanitary control. The statistical analysis showed statistical significance on number of fruits per plant evidencing that the organic fertilizers allowed the increasing of the production capacity of cucumber cultivars. The higher yielding was obtained with the treatment Eco-humus 1 lt/Ha, reaching 823.42 qq/Ha. As compared to cheek, the increase of production was significant according to Duncan Test. With the organic fertilizers the parameters length, weight and diameter of fruits reached significant increases. The best average in length corresponded to the treatment Biol Max 2 lt./Ha, obtaining 24.16 cm.; in weight corresponded to the treatment Eco-humus 1 lt/Ha, giving an average of 400.3 gr/fruit, and in diameter it was the treatment Eco-humus 1 lt/Ha, obtaining 6.01 cm per fruit. As related to cheek the lower averages were the treatments with Enerplant. |
