Engorde de concha prieta anadara tuberculosa en corrales a diferentes densidades

This essay was carried out in Costa Rica Island, belonging to Santa Rosa canton, El Oro province, The objectives were: 1. To determine the best growing and fattening percentages for the concha prieta Anadara tuberculosa 2 To establish the stocking density more appropriate for cultivation 3. To calculate the abiotic parameters: Temperature, pH, Oxygen, Salinity and Transparency. For the experimental work there were established 3 stocking densities: 5 shells per m2, 10 shells per m2, and 15 shells per m2. The stocking density of 5 shells per m2 was statistically superior to other densities in trial. There was not detected significant statistical difference referred to length. It was concluded that the higher increasa for growing and fattening corresponden to the density 5 shells/m2. The stocking density of 5 shells/m2 was significantly better than the two densities of 10 shells/m2 and 15 shells/m2; The abiotic parameters: pH and Oxygen and were in the ranges stablished for the natural environment. Temperature, Salinity and transparency had significative variances during the trial.
