The problem identified is the deficient application of nursing care protocols to patients with arterial hypertension, aim: To characterize the application of care protocol Nursing in hypertensive patients in the hospitalization area of Dr. Humberto molina hospital in the city of Zaruma. Type of research, quantitative, type of descriptive, retrospective study. Results: Characteristics of hypertensive patients, 69.4% female with arterial hypertension, women are malignant hypertension, and in men, severe hypertension. The 58.6% are over 65 years of age, the predominant is the severe 18.0%. 69.4% are housewives and 23.4% are severe hypertension; 12.6% are farmers, while 18% are malignant. 88.3% are of primary education level, with severe hypertension. The 65.8% come from Zaruma, while 34.2% come from Portovelo. The application of the phases of the nursing care process, 100% of the patients do not apply in an integral way the process of Nursing care. The symptoms, 100% of the patients have presented headache and agitation, 76.6% have had rubicundez. In 100% of the patients, the Nursing staff does not identify the functional patterns, without which the planning of Nursing activities and their execution is not performed. Regarding nursing staff knowledge, 38% of Nurses consider that the main characteristic of hypertension are headaches, on risk factors, in 31% is smoking, 23% are poor eating habits, 15% are obesity and sedentary lifestyle, while complications, cerebrovascular attack with 45%, renal failure 30%, are aware of the staff of Hospital Humberto Molina de Zaruma. |
