Description
Summary:Economic Analysis in the implementation of recycling and aeration in shrimp pool "Santa Maria", located on the road to Guarumal Km13.5, Canton-Machala, El Oro Province, was monitored in two pools covering approximately 12 hectares with a depth of 1.20 m, which was performed three runs using the traditional system, with a density of 11 postlarvae / m, over a period of 65 days. Then the system was implemented aeration and recirculating pools whose increasing planting density to 15 post-larvae / m, over a period of 93 days. The economic analysis was performed by production costs was made in the traditional system with $ 11,019.32 and the aeration and recirculation system with $ 16,481.65, being an average cost of 3 runs employed. The benefit-cost ratio in the run without implementation was $ 1.39 while the second run was higher at $ 1.71.The increase in weight of shrimp occurred in traditional systems of 1.5 to 2 grams weekly while using the implementation of aerators and recirculation increased from 2 to 2.5 grams. Costs / ha / day were $ 28 and $ 32 respectively in each methodology. The cost / pound of shrimp per treatment applied was $ 1.60 and $ 1.55, it should be noted that the cost / pound depends on size of harvest, crop density and feed conversion.
