| Sumari: | This work was carried out in the city of Machala, El Oro province, in the Laboratories of Chemistry of the School of Agricultural Engineering in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences belonging to the Technical University in Machala. The objectives were: 1. Evaluate two methods of dried for ten species of aromatic herbs 2. Determine the economic costs for each treatment. The species of medicinal plants that were used in their two drying methods were: Escancel (Aerva bloody), attacked (Amarantus muricantus), chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L), horse tail (Equisetun arvense), Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis), Plantain (Plantago major L) , Hierbaluisa (Lippia triphylla), Mint (Mentha rotundifolia), mauve odorous, (Malva sylvestris L), and Dandelion (taraxacum denslioni). The studied variables that have been taken into account were: 1) Percetage of moisture content of each species to the income and end of the processo, 2) Drying time for each treatment with its respective method, 3) Temperature for each treatment with its respective method, and 4) Weight. We use the design of randomized blocks completely at random with two treatments and three replications. Medicinal herbs dried by hot air current retained their own tonality and its aroma, obtaining samples of better quality for your presentation. The costs, assessed if you respond to the investment and consumption, since its drying process was artisanal and its costs were low. |
