Mercado de trabajo y adopción de tecnologías en el sector agropecuario del cantón Santa Rosa

The following investigation was realizad in the borough of Santa Rosa in the state of El Oro. The objectives of the study were: 1) To determine the creation of jobs and the adoption of technologies in the farming sector of the borough of Santa Rosa. 2) Evaluate until what point the market of jobs imoses a restriction to the aplication of technologies in the borough of Santa Rosa, y 3) Analize the agricultural job market in the borough of Santa Rosa to understand the economic strength to determine salary rates and the level of employment in the rural sector.In order to gather the data 341 agriculturist, in random model for the towns Bellamaria, Bellavista, La Avanzada, La Victoria, San Antonio, Santa Rosa y Torata. The results of the survey determines that the size of the farmers go from one or less hectares to fifty or more hectares, prevailing the private property over the land. The towns of the highland rivers have low productions, there is little or none technology in the different cultives, they don´t fertilize, they don´t make regular controls to the plants by experts, they depend of winter for irrigation, they dont have agricultural machines. Meanwhile in the lowland of the town, the scrapes are done manually and they are quimical products (glifosatos), irrigation is done by systems of aspersion and by gravity, supply by the channels of irrigation, fertelizes are apply (organic and inorganic) using more urea. Most of the agriculturists have control problems over the plants. The harvests is done manually and the products are sale to intermediates.Agriculturists have low possibilities of obtaining credit; high prices of the material needed for the harvest.Imigration has obligated people to get out of the country because of the low paying jobs. Most of these people have like destiny Spain and Italy.
