Sumari:In order to analyze the cocoa market chain-level brokers and middlemen in the Passage and Santa Rosa in the province of El Oro cantons information from official national statistics on income type, mobilization report was collected from the study area to the port of departure and fluctuation in the price of cocoa beans, in 2014. To update and confirm the trend of the data series a survey between the months of August and September 2015 cocoa traders registered it was held in Passage cantons and Santa Rosa in order to estimate the supply and demand of cocoa Nacional (fine aroma or arriba flavor) and CCN51 (Colección Castro Naranjal, clone 51) is traded. Getting results for the two varieties of cocoa they were exported in 2014 where 64.20% of total exports for the National cocoa four qualities being used are registered as: ASE (Superior Top Epoca), ASS (Above Superior Summer) ASSS (Top Superior Summer Select), and ASN (Superior Top Christmas) ASE quality being the highest percentage of total national assembly with 37% cocoa, however, total exports of cocoa CCN51 corresponds to 35, 80%. In the study area the results are different, the type CCN51 cocoa accounts for 71% while the National variety contributes with 29% considering similar studies need to be conducted to determine the real contribution of the national cocoa trade.
