Summary:The work was performed at the poultry farm "El Gato" of platanillos sector Canton Piñas, Province of El Oro. The objectives of this research were: Design was completely randomized with 4 treatments and 3 replications. 360 chicks from 1 day old to be homogeneously distributed in 12 galponcillos 2m x 2m (4m2) each to 49 days old were used. The groups were of 30 chicks each. The treatments used were: 1.5, 3, 4.5% annatto flour ration balanced prepared and the witness. To measure the pigmentation in the last week colorimeter range of DMS was used all birds were measured and then averaged. To measure variables: feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion and economic analysis, birds were weighed weekly until completion of the test. The mortality rate was measured weekly until the seventh week of age. From the results it reached the following conclusions: The highest percentage of pigmentation was obtained in T3 The group consuming less food was the witness. The group obtained greater weight was the witness The best feed conversion was obtained with the control The highest percentage was obtained mortality was 5% in Q2 The most useful was reached with the T1 ( $ 163.67 )
