Özet:The study of burnout syndrome, seeks to determine the psychological impact of caregivers of older adults with chronic diseases, is based on the integrative approach that values the beliefs, thoughts, behaviors and behaviors of people interacting with the family and social environment. For effect, the categories of: burnout syndrome, caregivers and older adults with chronic diseases were analyzed. The study included caregivers of three older adults, all of them residents in the city of Paccha. The research was developed under the mixed methodology (qualitative-quantitative), the narrative technique and the biographical method were used to know the interaction that people maintain in the family system and thus understand the behavior of each of the members; besides having a descriptive-interpretative scope, where the family, the caregiver and the results of the applied instruments were characterized and then an interpretation was made to understand and give meaning to the manifestation of the personal and family interaction of the subjects studied. The deep interview technique was applied and to corroborate the following scales were used: Overload of the Carer -Zarit, which serves to evaluate negative feelings found in the bio-psycho-social life of the caregivers and Family Apgar, which evaluates the family functionality in five components: adaptability, participation, growth, affectivity and resolutive.
