| Summary: | The cultivation of banana (Musa AAA), is one of the fruits that increased consumption worldwide, due to its high content of proteins and carbohydrates, exceeded in export only by citrus and Ecuador represents economic, for being the first item after the oil major, where, El Oro, Los Rios and Guayas are the major producing provinces, therefore it is necessary to know and the possible factors that indicate the normal development of the productivity of the crop, assuming this, it should be considered that banana, it is a plant sensitive to nutritional imbalance and post-harvest is due to maintain its efficiency and quality must be preserved a proportion between the nutrients found in soil, nitrogen, phosphorus And potassium the main elements required for its proper development, however, the soil is a resource that has been exploited indiscriminately with the passing of time by the frequent abuse of fertilizers to meet the needs of the crops, causing a serious imbalance in the physical-chemical properties and in some occasions causing its salinity and how the banana is a high potassium extractor, the source that increased consumption has for its easy access is the potassium chloride (KCl) which contains a high percentage of chlorine (Cl- ) in its composition and in turn has a toxic reaction to the plant, such as for the soil and to understand the effect that generates the replacement of Potassium chloride (KCl) by potassium nitrate (KNO3) which is a free source of chlorine, an experiment was conducted on a fertilization program on a commercial farm of bananas in the province of El Oro, in the canton The Guabo, which had as its objective, to evaluate the effect of the replacement of a source of potassium chlorine free, through a field test to improve the programs of fertilization in the cultivation of banana, evaluating phenological variables (plant height, circumference of the pseudostem) and productive (bunch weight in kg, weight in kg per bunch hands, hands per cluster, number of fingers per cluster and the ratio) that were carried out on a weekly basis from december 2015 Until December 2016, on the basis of the adverse effect that generates the ion Cl-, taking reference of the performance obtained with each treatment, the test shall be composed of two treatments and a witness, each with five repetitions, the experimental design used was the randomized complete block design, using doses per plant of 31.88 g of KCl and for the treatment two and 31.30 g of KNO3 for the treatment three, the treatment one did not receive any kind of fertilization, the results obtained by treatment were processed by the SPSS statistical package, where parametric tests were used (Analysis of variance of two tracks) prior to the implementation of the assumptions of homogeneity of variance and normality of the Data in case of significant difference between treatments under study, applied the test of Tukey's HSD multiple ranges, where the treatment three gender optimistic results in terms of the variable ratio, KNO3 the best treatment. |
