Sammanfattning:The research on socio-legal analysis of labor as an element of social rehabilitation and economic production in the internal Social Rehabilitation Center of the city of Machala during the years 2009-2010, contains five chapters. In the first chapter the problem under study is discussed, it is established systematically research questions, objectives arises and assumptions formulated. The second chapter deals with the theoretical framework in which issues such as the prison system, its evolution, prison law and its principles, legal sanctions, resocialization with the motive of providing a clear idea of ​​the problem studied is discussed. In the third chapter the methodology to obtain real data on the problem studied is established, the techniques were used, including interviews with legal professionals to know their views on the social rehabilitation of prisoners, as well as the formulation of surveys jail inmates in the city of Machala. In the fourth chapter the results of field research are analyzed, we set the tabulation, analysis and interpretation of the results of the surveys and interviews applied. The fifth chapter contains the project proposal in his article to Title III, Chapter I of the prison system code execution of sentences and social rehabilitation in the treatment that should receive prison inmates, their education, and their job training.
