Yhteenveto:The search for new ways to communicate, has always been ongoing since the beginning of mankind, one of the ways of modern communication are computer networks and local area also known as LAN, software that interfaces computers to share and distribute information. This work titration was aimed to redesign the structure of the local area network of Orense Business Education Unit and provide the best solutions for its restructuring also was to optimize the data network logically and physically, for administrative and educational processes according to the requirements of the institution, as it had many problems and disadvantages in the process of transmitting information in its various departments and computer labs. Therefore it was decided to apply a rule or standard that meets all expectations of the institution, and it was decided to redesign the structured cabling data network using the EIA / TIA 568 standard B.1, which primarily offers and is based in a network model with well-defined and complementary tasks, which provides safe, durable and modular solutions, ensuring quality of service, for better understanding and ease of implementation. Also through the analysis phase IP address Class C type it was properly assigned to not waste space hosts and several telecommunications equipment as used: switch's and router's that help the correct use of network resources, which were installed in a rack applying the corresponding vertical cabling and horizontal cabling from the equipment prior to each host named target, with reference to the extended star topology. Therefore, the application of the EIA / TIA standard in Orense 568B.1 Business Education Unit, was improved significantly in administrative and educational activities, enabling help strengthen and academic performance of the institution, and thus you can respond to the challenges that constantly demands technology.
