With these basics a recommendation of nitrogen fertilizers in sugar cane was developed, which is an achievement and an extremely useful tool for sugarcane producer, for results that can be achieved without damaging the environment, which is perfect accordance with the principles of sustainable agriculture, that is, apply the amount of nitrogen fertilizer just needed to get optimal performance and preserve the ecosystem. |

With these basics a recommendation of nitrogen fertilizers in sugar cane was developed, which is an achievement and an extremely useful tool for sugarcane producer, for results that can be achieved without damaging the environment, which is perfect accordance with the principles of sustainable agriculture, that is, apply the amount of nitrogen fertilizer just needed to get optimal performance and preserve the ecosystem.Los resultados obtenidos durante 45 años de investigación desarrollada en 3000 cosechas de experimentos de campo, bajo diferentes ecosistemas cañeros de Cuba, mostraron que las necesidades de nitrógeno están asociadas al tipo de cepa, al rendimiento que es posible alcanzar con la fertilización y a características del suelo, como, hidromorfía y compactación, además del porcentaje de la materia orgánica, que es un indicador eficaz para diagnosticar el contenido de nitrógeno presente en el suelo.
