Crynodeb: | In the experimental farm Santa Inés, of the Facultad of Ciencias Agropecuarias, UTMach, I experimented with NPK based fertilization in pickled pepper, introduced from the Republic of Peru, with the following objectives. 1. To study the effect of treatments over fruit production in chili peppers, variety escabeche. 2. To determine which of the tested fertility levels leads to obtain higher yields and generate higher returns. Soil preparation was performed with an agricultural tractor, by passage of a disc plow, then dredge, and then plotting the furrows and the installation of an irrigation system. In the test site the nursery was conducted in trays, using 0.5 kilos. The transplant was performed when the plants had 5 functional leaves. The distance was 0.4 m between plants. The treatments investigated were: T1. 280-180-300; T2.240-160-260; T3.200-140-220 and T4. 160-120-180 of urea, ammonium diphosphate and potassium sulfate; T5 was the control treatment. The treatments in the field were arranged in experimental designed random blocks with five treatments and four blocks. Variables analyzed were, plant height at 30,45, 60, 90, days to flowering, days to fruiting, number of fruits per plant., length and diameter of the fruit at harvest, fruit weight at harvest and yield of fresh fruit per hectare. All measured variables are made based on 10 plants randomly selected from the area of useful plants. The pickled pepper bush type, responded to fertilization with NPK strengthening growth in height, reaching as high as the level of fertilization 240-160-260 Urea-diphosphate ammonium and potassium sulfate in the number of fruits per plant, higher productivity, corresponded to treatment T2 with 240-160-260, as sources of macro elements Urea 46% diammonium phosphate, in terms of pure elements contained 139.2-73.6-130 of NPK. The treatment which achieved the highest yields (14.32 t / ha.) was the treatment T2 139.2- 73.6-130 of NPK. In all treatments a progressive wilt showed up, caused by fungi that affect the root system, like Phytium, situation that was observed in various treatments. From this data we can infer that the complementary fertilization has any effect on survival, or extend the useful life of pickled pepper plants. |
