Farmacovigilancia con losartan de 100 mg en adultos mayores hipertensos atendidos en el Hospital María Lorena Serrano Aguilar.

OBJETIVE. The present work aims to establish the pharmacovigilance of the administration of 100 mg of Losartan in hypertensive older adults treated at at the Hospital Maria Lorena Serrano Aguilar. It is a cross-sectional study is a prospective observational study in a simple of 63 patiens, women and erderly men, assessed the status of the patient, style of life, side effects and posible adverse reactions to the medication. METHODOLOGY. Through the aplication of a survey and a researcher-patient interview with their respective approval was abtained results that will responsibly used for the preparation od this research. The hypertension to be a public health problema becomes an object of study in order to improve the lives of the elderly hypertensive patiens, assessing a suitable alternative treatment with fewer side effects. It should be borne in mind that eta morbidity can only be controlled, that is to say that the hypertesive patient it will be for the whole life. RESULTS. In the geriatric age is found a higher incidence of hypertension in male in the femalesex in a 53% and 47% for males that are related to assestial HA most often in a 80.6% approx., refers to a condition in wich there is no know specific cause of hypertension. The 96.8 has knowledge of the risk that involves a high BP. In the same way on the antihipertensa life style around a 79 % to preserve his health or condition. The competente doctors analyze each case and prescribe specific treatments for each case presented, in such a way that it reduces the incidence of possible RAM or side effects, the 63% said no adverse event, the 22% le pain, weakness and muscle cramp, 11% had heartburn, 2% gretaer sesitivit to touch and 2% diarhea, these were reported to their physicians and pharmacist and decisions were taken in regard to the treatment. These manifestations may have been given by storage conditios post- dispensation where the patient places your drugs 56% kept in his bedroom in either a chest of drawers, table, confortable, etc., the 3% book in her bedside table, the 8% in the bathroom, the same that lies in a problema due to the humidity of the área, affecting the stability of the drug and its effectiveness, a 7% next electronic devices which symbolizes a bad storage post- marketing. CONCLUSION. At present, the 16% represents patients who expressed suspicions of adverse effects to the medication, these results were compared with the study carried out by the faculty of health sciences of the Department of Preventive Medicine, Madrid-Spain, while 84% of the population is asymptomatic indicating that Losartan Potassium is a safe that makes upthe institution of public health HMLSA on pharmacovigilance, insucha way that they are treined to make the report of the slightest suspicion of RAM to omprove the health of patients who have interaction with drugs.
