For the taking of sample was used extractors of grounds that were placed in boxes of plastics and labeled respectively. The method that was used for the contaje of eggs was the technique of McMaster. The prevalencia of canine Ancilostomiasis in the you take care it was of 23,6 %, in the urban parish Nueve de Mayo that presented a bigger percentage and 15,2 % corresponded to the sharp infection. The biggest prevalencia in the illness was presented in puppies and in dogs that its hábitat was the patio. |

The biggest prevalencia in the illness was presented in puppies and in dogs that its hábitat was the patio.La presente investigación sobre Ancilostomia sis canina se realizó en las diferentes parroquias de la cuidad de Machala, provincia de El Oro, durante los meses de septiembre a noviembre del 2007, con los siguientes objetivos: 1. Determinar la prevalencia de Ancilostomiasis de acuerdo a la edad y el hábitat; 2. Establecer el grado de infección parasitaria. El número de animales investigados fue de 250 distribuidas en las seis parroquias urbanas de la cuidad. Para la toma de muestra se utilizó extractores de heces las que fueron colocadas en cajitas de plásticos y rotuladas respectivamente. El método que se utilizó para el contaje de huevos fue la técnica de McMaster. La prevalencia de Ancilostomiasis canina en la cuidad fue de 23,6 %, en la parroquia urbana Nueve de Mayo, que presentó un mayor porcentaje y el 15,2 % correspondió a la infección aguda.
