Se utilizó un diseño de parcelas divididas, con ocho tratamientos y tres repeticiones. Los factores en estudio fueron dos variedades de fréjol Factor A (Cargabello, Calima Rojo) y factor B las combinaciones foliares (Maestro, Novaplex, Alga 600 y Byfolan Especial). Esta investigación se realizó en la comunidad de Turuco, Cotacachi, Ecuador. De las variables evaluadas se obtuvo mejor rendimiento en grano verde al aplicar el T4 (variedad Cargabello y bioestimulante Byfolan Especial) seguido del T2 (variedad Cargabello y bioestimulante Novaplex), siendo este ultimo el más recomendado por entrar dentro de la Agricultura Orgánica. Además se recomienda la utilización de la variedad Cargabello en lugares que presenten las mismas características del lugar donde se realizó la investigación, por ser la más resistente a las condiciones ambientales adversas al cultivo e incluso a ciertas enfermedades. Siendo esta una de las mejores variedades arbustivas al presentar mejores resultados en cuanto a rendimiento.
