Резюме:The aim of this study was to assess the clinical skills acquisition in neurological semiology in medical students UTPL using an objective structured clinical assessment (OSCE) to compare the acquisition of clinical skills through simulated instruction versus traditional teaching. The study was descriptive prospective, quasi-experimental, has a transversal approach and a quantitative design, applied to a sample of cycle 7th students who were taught a lesson by simulation, and, to a sample of 9th cycle students who received a teaching traditional methodology. The categorization of the results obtained by the OSCE in the traditional teaching sample was 98% "poor" and 2% "poor", with 100% of students reproved the test, while the categorization of the sample that was teaching by simulation: 24 % "sufficient", 4% "satisfactory", 25% "good", 19% "notable" and 15% "very good", with 87% approval and 13% of students reproved the test, demonstrating a greater degree of acquisition of competencies in clinical skills by students undergoing education through simulation compared to traditional teaching.
